Target Audience

Suitable for beginners who have never tried snowboarding or have only minimal experience. Regardless of age, as long as they possess basic physical fitness, they can participate. Ideal for snowboarding enthusiasts who want to learn safely and quickly.

Course Objectives

Establish the basic foundations of snowboarding, enabling students to independently slide, stop, and perform simple turns on gentle slopes. Cultivate confidence and safety awareness, laying a solid foundation for advanced courses.

Course Highlights

Emphasize the use of safety equipment and basic posture practice, gradually transitioning from flat ground movement to slope sliding. Through repeated practice of side slipping and turning, help students adapt to the lateral movement characteristics of the snowboard.

  • Introduction to snowboarding equipment (snowboard, bindings, boots) and correct wearing methods.

  • Explanation of ski resort safety rules, including safe falling and avoiding collisions.

  • Learning correct stance (front foot fixed, back foot flexible) and balance exercises.

  • Single-foot walking and sliding on flat ground.

  • Single-foot Heel Side (heel edge pushing the slope) and Toe Side (toe edge pushing the slope).

  • Single-foot J Turn (J-shaped turn).

  • Two-foot Heel Side sliding and falling leaf.

  • Two-foot Toe Side falling leaf.

  • Two-foot J Turn.

  • Basic C Turn (Heel to Toe and Toe to Heel).

  • Practice basic stopping techniques, such as using the board edge to brake.

  • Learning basic stance (feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent, weight forward).

  • Flat ground practice: walking, side stepping (Side Step), and herringbone uphill (Herringbone).

  • Basic sliding: straight descent and plow braking (Pizza Stop).

  • Plow turns: changing direction by varying pressure on left and right feet.

  • Practice left turns, right turns, and continuous S-shaped turns.

  • Using vision to guide turns (eyes look where the body follows).

  • Basic braking and speed control techniques.
