Venue Overview

Slope Zones and Features

Sapporo Teine Ski Resort is divided into two main areas interconnected by the TEINE GONDOLA, integrated into a single ski resort in 2005, with approximately 15 slopes totaling about 6 kilometers in length.

  1. Highland Zone:

    • Features: Mainly consists of red (intermediate) and black (advanced) slopes, offering longer and steeper runs suitable for intermediate to advanced skiers.

    • Representative Slopes:

      • North Face / Kitakabe: Black slope, an ungroomed natural tree-lined trail with a maximum slope of 36 degrees facing the Sea of Japan, offering spectacular views and a challenging off-piste experience for advanced players.

      • Women's Giant Slalom: A 2,000-meter long steep slope, a former Olympic course suitable for professional skiers.

      • Men's and Women's Slalom: Both Olympic-level slopes with high levels of difficulty.

      • City View: Red slope, moderate slope suitable for enjoyable skiing with a view of Teine City.

    • Other Facilities: Features a terrain park (geological park) with jumps and boxes for advanced players to practice skills.

    • Summit Cafe: HOT CAFE 1023, ideal for resting and enjoying the scenic views.

  2. Olympia Zone:

    • Features: Primarily consists of green (beginner) slopes, offering shorter and gentler runs suitable for beginners and families.

    • Representative Slopes:

      • Sun Dance: A gentle short slope ideal for beginners, equipped with a 116-meter long conveyor belt (magic carpet) with wind and snow protection, making it easier for beginners to practice.

      • SHIRAKABA Sun Shine: Green slope, suitable for beginners with gentle slopes.

      • Rainbow: Green slope, 1,700 meters long with a maximum slope of 11 degrees and a minimum slope of 5 degrees, ideal for beginners to practice speed control.

    • Other Facilities:

      • Dinosaur Children's Park: Offers snow sleds, ski rings, and other snow activities suitable for family visitors.

      • Ferris Wheel: Located above the red slope White Birch Sun Rise, not operational in winter but serves as a landmark for photography.

    • Night Skiing: Only offers 2 green slopes, with shorter lengths, not particularly recommended.
